Donate to Lift Ramona Out of Homelessness
Spende geschützt
Hey, I'm Ramona. I'm an 18 year old transgender youth who is about to be homeless starting September 1st in New York City.
I've lived in Maine for most of my life with a rather abusive family that would constantly neglect and verbally abuse me to the point that I've reached this-- leaving and going on my own to live in a city that is much more accessible for me as someone with little money and no vehicle. I have already made preparations to be settled at a homeless shelter for the time being, but that's only a temporary fix.
I'm working on working part-time, although this is something that'll be fairly difficult for me as I have pretty bad back pains with a scoliosis diagnosis. I also have a few other medical issues that I need sorted out, but I'm hoping insurance will end up covering that.
My goal is simple, I hope to make enough money to lift myself up enough to get an apartment and stabilize myself a bit. Obviously my priority is to be able to live, and have enough money for necessities (food, clothes, etc.) as I'm trans and don't have any gender affirming clothes nor many clothes in general.
I do not expect to reach the goals I've set, but anything I can get will help greatly. I simply just want to live, and getting to the point I hope will take a while.
