Eleven was named after the character Eleven in Stranger Things. We really loved that show. If no one has heard about the show here is a quick synopsis. Eleven the character was timid at first and shy but after awhile became the strongest character on the show. And now she is the most loved character just like our little furball so we thought that name was fitting.
Eleven is originally from Georgia who had a twin brother named Feisty. Her original name is actually Maria. But we wanted to give her a more original name. Plus Alexa's mom was named Maria. Which was a sign that there was essence of Alexa's mom in Eleven (Maria).
We originally fostered her from Ridgewood Cats with her brother Feisty. They were about about 8 weeks old, but were sick at the time. We had to give the brother back to the organization because he was too sick, but Eleven was resilient and recovered so we kept her for another week. Not knowing that we would fall madly in love with her. We were not intending to keep her because we didn't know if we could afford her or give her a good place to stay. She was actually going to an adoption event a week after and after we dropped her off both of our heart's sank. We didn't want to let her go so we told each other that no matter what we will try and give her the best home possible money or not. So we adopted her and it was the best thing ever.
She really blessed our lives and made us happy. And in turn we try to give her the best we could offer as well. She was our little world and every time we were down she was there to pick us up.
The past two years that she was with us was some of the best years we ever had. The way she would wake us up to feed her to her sleeping with us at all times. They said that cats are independent, but not this one. She would follow us everywhere we go. Whether it is to the bathroom while we're brushing our teeth or to the bedroom when we were watching a movie. She always wanted to be where we were. She also had the cutest meow. It was a whisper. She would never use her full voice, but a light whisper saying that she agrees with us or wants to play. She was always curious about other people and she would go up to each and every one of them like they were best friends. We couldn't have asked for a better family member than her. She was what we needed in our lives and likewise with her.
We love her so much and we will always continue loving her knowing that she is in a better place somewhere.
Unfortunately, there were some complications that happened and we rushed her to the VA hospital. And she couldn't be saved and this incident happened all of a sudden. This left us in a tough bind, so we are trying to raise money to cover her expenses for the emergency CPR and for her cremation.
Eleven's bio:
She is a black and white medium hair fur coat
Her pattern looks like a yin yang symbolizing her parents. Definition of yin and yang: In ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang represent the interconnected and complementary forces that make up the universe, symbolizing opposites like darkness and light, passivity and activity, and femininity and masculinity, emphasizing the importance of balance and harmony.
This is like her parents although can be opposite sometimes works well together when they are balanced and that is what life should be like.
She was 2 years old
She was very playful
She loved bananas as a treat
She loved her parents so much
She loved to eat and sleep
She was very curious all of the time and got into everything
She loved to sleep in very awkward type of positions
She loved interacting with other humans and if you throw a ball her way she will chase it like no other
Most of all she had a lot of love to give and shared it with everyone who encountered her.
I want to say thank you in advance in donating anything you can to Eleven's hospital bills. It means the world to us and we are forever thankful. If you would like to know more about her you can always reach out to me and I would be happy to go in more detail about this little world of ours.
