Support Queer Writing & Adventure in South America

Hello!

Our names are Blythe and Aliay. We are planning a trip to South America! Together, we plan to trek across the continent. This spring, we will begin our adventure in Nicaragua. Over the course of three - four months, we will make our way from from Central America, to Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and, finally, Brazil. Throughout our journey, we intend to stay in hostels and various Wwoofing establishments. We will work as we travel in order to continue generating funds for our adventures. We are committed to engaging with the communities we encounter and participating in social work wherever it presents itself, whether through volunteering or local initiatives. Additionally, we hope to engage in travel in the most environmentally sustainable way possible, relying upon land transit more than planes. As we travel through South America, we will record our experiences through writing and photographs. We intend to co-create and produce a book on queer travel in South America. The book will catalogue queer experiences of culture, art, food, and community. All donations will help support travel, lodging, and food expenses as well as our ability to purchase gear.
