Hi, my name is Dr. Beth Stovell. I'm the mother of 3 teenage kids and wife to my husband Jon. I am a professor and have been our primary breadwinner. In early September I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and Type 3C diabetes. In November, we learned that my cancer has spread from my pancreas to my liver and is now at Stage 4 and incurable. While many of our costs are covered with essential cancer treatment, the costs of cancer and my diabetes (caused by the cancer) stack up quickly. These additional costs have coincided with a reduction in my typical yearly earnings as the cancer has taken me away from publishing and speaking for the year (part of our supplemental earnings). With your donations, we will be able to pay for my diabetes treatment, uncovered cancer costs, and essentials like groceries and meals for our family.
