My name is Chizaram, and I have been a charity volunteer for over 10 years, starting as a second year Law student at the University of Ibadan. I began by volunteering with One African Child Foundation for Learning, eager to make a difference in my community. That experience shaped my heart for service and set me on the path of impact which I have followed ever since.

Today, as a dual-qualified lawyer, I am still deeply passionate about giving back. Over the years, I have volunteered with more than four charities across continents and worked in the charity sector in the UK, helping to advise and register charities so they can operate effectively and create long-term impact.

Since 2021, I have joyfully served as a volunteer with One Sound Charity, a community of people who live out compassion in action. In the past year alone, we have fed and clothed over 2,000 people in the UK, carried out a Back-to-School project, and, through our Nigerian counterpart (of the same name), feed thousands of families, recently renovated a school in Ikorodu. This year alone, One Sound Charity has trained over 500 recent Nigerian graduates in digital technology skills for free, helping young people build employable skills and secure a brighter future.

Every outreach, every meal, every piece of clothing, and every life changed through One Sound Charity has been made possible by people who simply care enough to act.

The Need

I have therefore decided to personally help by raising £2,000 as One Sound Charity prepares to host one of its biggest outreach events in November 2025 for those in need across Nigeria.

Nigeria is a nation full of resilience and potential, yet many families are struggling under the weight of poverty, high inflation, and unemployment. Children often go without food, clothing, or education, and parents struggle to meet even basic needs.

This November, the charity’s goal is to feed the hungry, support displaced families, clothe those in need, and bring hope to children and families in crisis. We would be distributing food stuff, clothing items and providing financial support to families in need. Your support will help us expand our reach and sustain the impact we have already begun.

Every donation will go directly to those in need through One Sound Charity’s outreach projects in Nigeria. Your contribution will provide food, shelter, clothing, and emotional and faith-based support for families who have lost so much. Every contribution, no matter the amount, makes a real difference.

Why It Matters

Volunteering, service, and creating impact have been at the heart of my life for over ten years. I have seen firsthand how much hope and relief can come from simple acts of kindness; from a meal, a safe place to learn, or skills that open doors to new opportunities.

This November, One Sound Charity will be reaching out to families and children in Nigeria who are struggling with poverty, unemployment, and the consequences of high inflation.
