Hi, we’re Elyana and Philip.
On July 23rd, 2025, our lives changed dramatically. At just 25 weeks and 4 days pregnant with twins, Elyana was rushed to the ER and immediately flown to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls due to a high-risk emergency. Baby A was breech with her water sac pushing through, and we were told the babies could arrive at any moment.
After five intense days of monitoring, Elyana underwent an emergency C-section on July 28th. Our daughters were born extremely premature, weighing just 1lb 7oz and 1lb 12oz. Since then, they’ve been fighting bravely in the NICU, where they continue to grow stronger every day.
To be close to our babies, Elyana has been staying in Sioux Falls full time, while Philip has been driving back and forth from Huron on his days off from work. The long travel and emotional toll have been difficult, but we've managed — until another hardship struck.
On October 2nd, while returning home from a NICU visit, Philip was in a car accident. Thankfully, no one else was involved and he walked away unharmed, but our only vehicle was totaled.
Now, with no reliable transportation, it’s even harder to stay connected as a family and be there for our twins during this critical time. We’re doing everything we can, but we’re asking for help.
Any support whether it’s a donation, sharing our story, or sending a prayer means the world to us. We’re holding onto hope and focusing on the strength of our girls, who remind us every day to keep going.
With love and gratitude,
Elyana & Philip
