Curtis is a coach at Alavanca & a professional mixed martial arts pioneer in Canada whom began his career at the young age of 18 as the sport was just getting introduced into the world. Following a competitive hockey career, Curt began his journey with the infamous “Team Tompkins” and had set his path in MMA, fighting in some of the sports most elite promotions against some of the best in the world.

Curt is at the point in his career/life where he should be in his peak as he is (33) and as we know, most sports are short lived within a 10-20 year window. Unfortunately the only issue holding him up is an injury he had sustained in 2019. Curt’s quality of life continues to devalue & get worse since this time. (myelopathy)

He has found out he has a torn PPL (Posterior longitudinal ligament), a severe traumatic Cervical Brachial plexus injury & trauma to the cervical that led to Severe Cervical Foraminal Stenosis causing myelopathy ( A complex condition of osteophytes (bone spurs) and disc’s etc) that are compressing directly on the spinal cord causing neuropathy If untreated, this can lead to significant and permanent nerve damage including paralysis and death. There has also been another serious condition found that can not be disclosed at this time.

Because there is no quit in him and the fight & warrior spirit Curt has , His past 4 competition’s unfortunately have led him to extreme pain & suffering as he had to mentally/physically push through unbearable pain, weakness & suffering even just in his training camp. (pain & fatigue and no control in left hand) going into these fights & still putting on fight of the night/year performance’s.

We have been grateful to have Curt work with some of the top physicians in the city & they referred him quickly for his scans, tests. He was also referred to top treatment facility for the neck/brain In Utah, Ohio called Cognitive FX which costs around 10,000usd for the week of treatment.

In order for Curt to get these treatments or surgery (TBA) , We are seeking for some financial support in the journey to get this warrior back to health for his life & to win more Gold Championships down the road without the pain & confusion. Because of the pandemic, the extreme costs of these Scans, Treatment, rehab & possible surgery soon to come have become extremely difficult to fund, so this would be going straight to these sources to complete the protocol and get Curt back to 100%.
