Donate To Help Buy Campers For WNC Hurricane Victims
Donation protected
Hey Guys, my name is Evan Vilardo and I am from Franklin/Highlands NC. I have been a Hurricane Disaster Relief volunteer in Western NC for 51 straight days.
There are still thousands of people and families left homeless and displaced from Hurricane Helene. Temperatures are dropping to freezing and below most nights and winter hasn’t even begun yet. It is supposed to snow this weekend.
Fellow Volunteers Sarah Williams, Olivia Vitale and I have decided to focus all of our efforts on getting donations to get Campers/RVs to put roofs over as many people’s heads as we possibly can.
It is just taking too long for most non profits and camper organizations to approve people and most victims are automatically disqualified for not having property to put a camper permanently.
We are not an organization. We are a group of volunteers that have been here for almost 2 months witnessing how many hoops hurricane victims have to jump through and how long it takes to get a camper from organizations. Meanwhile, the people in need are still freezing in their cars.
So, we decided to take camper donations ourselves and take in monetary donations to buy used campers off of marketplace and IMMEDIATELY clean them, stock them and bring them to people in need. No BS red tape or hoops for them to jump through for weeks and it has been working great so far! Thank you to everyone who has donated and everyone who will donate
