Donate to Give Kathie a Safe and Cozy Home

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to ask for help for someone who has spent her whole life helping others—my sister, Kathie. I would love to see her not be home insecure but to have a little cozy place to rest her head at nite without worry of not having a place to live securely.

Kathie has worked more than 40 years of hard, dedicated work in front office positions at various optical businesses. She has been the smiling face, problem solver, reliable one—always giving her all to make those businesses thrive.

But her greatest strength has always been her heart. Kathie raised her children as a single mother when her husband left for another when the kids were young. She provided for them, supported them , sacrificed for them and has been there over and over again for her grandchildren. She has also battled cancer, a broken leg caused by a paramedic dropping her off a staircase and another broken leg caused by a faulty staircase just a few years later and a list of other unfortunate things that have caused her great pain. Despite the odds, she never stopped giving, whether to her family, her co-workers, or her community—often putting her needs last. She has never given up her faith and hope in God or has grown bitter because of her circumstance.

Now, after decades of selfless service and sacrifice, Kathie dreams of something modest but meaningful: a tiny house to call her own. A peaceful, affordable space where she can recharge, rest, and enjoy this chapter of her life.

I am hoping, as her sister, to raise funds for a down payment on a tiny home so she won't have to fear a future of housing insecurity. Every dollar helps, every SHARE makes a difference. Let's give back to someone who has given so much to others for so long.
