Only 10 pounds will feed 30 Kyiv citizens per day

My name is John, I'm a fundraiser for and Ukrainian company called bafood that feeds people who are blocked in the center of Kyiv for FREE.
Since the beginning of war, we have rearranged all the work towards feeding people for free using our facilities distributed in every district of Kyiv, well as our team and expertise. Till now, we have served over 300 000 meas or 100 000 lunches and are currently producing more than 10,000 meals per day. We were supported by the network of food producers who provided us with a food for free or at very low price.
Now, a great shortage of the food and package has come - in order to get it, we need to start paying for it, sometimes also importing ingredients from nearby counties .
We are reaching out to you to help us continue feeding Kyiv.
We are a Kiev based company that provides food production and delivery service. Right after the war broke out we switched to a humanitarian style organizations and started providing for FREE to citizens and volunteers of Kiev.
What we are already doing to help:
- Using our infrastructure (10 kitchens in Kiev) to produce meals for volunteers and other people in Kiev and Kiev Region in need who could not evacuate the city
- Producing meals for 5 000 people a day, but we can produce much much more
The situation is quite urgent because we are running out of supplies and need to buy them in neighbouring Poland and transport them to Kyiv.
What we need:
- We urgently need raw ingredients to cook, first of all meat, as well as vegetables, and cereals
- We need packaging to distribute meals
We will use raised funds to:
- Buy raw materials to produce meals in Kyiv
- Buy packaging need to pack meals that we cook
- Pay utility bills to continue producing
Who will benefit from this fund raiser:
- Elderly people in Kyiv
- Children in shelters of Kyiv
- Volunteers and defenders in Kyiv
We are raising 50,000 pounds which is a monthly requirement for raw materials, packaging, utility bills. This allows us to provide 150 000 meals, meaning that each meals costs 34 pence.
- 7 000 pounds would be spent on utility
- 18 000 pounds for packaging
- 25 000 pounds for meat, vegetables
