Emily’s Half Marathon for Alice house Hospice

Hi everyone, on May 11th, I’ll be dragging myself around the Leeds Half Marathon (all 21km of it!) in memory of Dan Nolan.

Dan passed away on December 23rd after an incredibly brave and relentless two year battle with cancer. Dan radiated kindness, being an incredible son, father, husband and friend to so many. To know him was to love him and he is deeply missed.

In his final weeks, he was cared for at Alice House Hospice in Hartlepool. The hospice was a place that has been there for my family and friends and others more than once, offering not just medical care, but real compassion and dignity in the toughest of times.

So, for Dan, for the Nolans, and for everyone who’s been helped by Alice House, I’ll be taking on 13.1 miles of sweat, (and probably some tears) through Leeds.
