Donate to Diesel's Vet Care and New Life

*Gillian and one of her dear friends donated 240 towards this. So they're donation is under my maiden name "Katee Harrison... I just need to give credit where credit is due.*

Hi, my name is Diesel I am a yellow lab, who was kicked out of my original home. And here's my story.

I wondered around my neighborhood, on March 22th, 2025. I found myself at a loving home, the lady's name is Gillian, her wonderful husband, children and their furbabies. They let me stay at their house while making a few facebook posts in hopes of finding my owners. They then took me to get scanned for a chip on Monday, March 24th. There was a chip, but they were able to get minimal information on my owners. When they called the number, a man answered and said they had the wrong number. Then they searched my neighborhood, going door to door trying to find my owners. There was NO LUCK. Gillian then updated her Facebook post about the chip and her not being able to foater me, as she already has enough on her plate. That's when Katee said she can foster me, this started on Monday March 24th, 2025. Gillian and her amazing family have two dogs, but due to the dogs age's, it wasnt going to be a good fit for me to stay with them. So I went with Katee and her family, which was a great fit. They have kids, who I love, a nice dog who wants to play with me and just a loving home for me. Katee then took me to another Vet in modesto, in hopes of finding more information. She was able to get a name, a phone number and an address. Once she figured out the number, again, wasn't the right person she went to the address. Nobody would answer the door, so she went to the neighbors who were outside. As the neighbor was helping trying to find my owners, a man pulls up in his truck. And this is how that went...

Katee: "hi, do you happen to have any dogs that may have gotten out?"

Him: shaking his head said, "no"

Katee: "you don't have any dogs??"

Him: "no, I dont-"

Katee: "is ____(name of woman registered to chip- don't want to publicly give her name out) here?? The chip is registered to her and this house, a Labrador"

Thats when this man's story changed

Him: "oh yeah, we had a lab. But he got out"

Katee: "omg! I have him. Is his name Diesel?"

Him: "yeah thats our dog"

Thats when the man's entire demeanor changed and something just wasnt right. Katee said "do you even want him??"

Him: "not really...."

Katee: "i will take him to keep or foster him. But he needs to be fixed, and this was super unexpected for me. Can you put money towards that? Or meet me half way, or some contribution if possible?"

Him: "well how much is it to get him fixed?"

Katee: "about 260 for neuter and shots so anywhere from 260-450.. maybe more, could be much less than 450, not sure yet"

Katee is going to write the rest, lol - Diesel

As I'm handing Diesel over, Diesel became scared and started to show signs of fear but yet he was happy to see his "people".. my instincts were screaming to turn around, but I didn't know what to do. So I called Gillian, and told her the story, I also needed to vent.. i knew something wasn't right, but i also knew Diesel knew these people by his reaction/energy.

Then a few hours later, Gillian sends me a text screenshot of a lost and found facebook page with Diesel on it, he was dumped, again, but this time in ceres... Gillian and her husband both went out, at night, and found Deisel. He went running to them with excitement. I told her I'd pick him up in the morning.

Im asking for donations towards getting him neutered and up to date on shots as well as flea treatment. I figured with the animal-loving community, if we could get our animal-loving-community to donate anything from $1-$20 we can meet our goal.

And, if we go over our goal or the cost ends up being less than what is raised. I will donate the rest to a local rescue/shelter. I can provide a loving and safe home as well as food. But with this unexpected situation, I did not have time to save for the bulk of this cost. The shelters won't take him, and the rescues are already overwhelmed. And im willing to give him the best life ever.

Gillian and one of her friends have already donated a generous amount, and I am at loss for words with their kindness and generosity. I'd like to pay it back, or in her words "pay it forward" so again, whatever I don't need for Diesels vet visit, will be going towards a rescue or shelter.. maybe we can vote on it?...

I will also post receipts and updates, to prove my integrity and honesty. (I tend to over explain myself, I just want to be 100% honest and transparent with this situation)
