Cody's Owner's Rehabilitation

My name is Evan Pedretti, and I am a very active man who plays many organized sports and goes on countless hikes with my dog, Cody. On May 2nd, 2023, I underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor protruding from the top of my brainstem. To make matters worse, I suffered some complications during that surgery, including a stroke. I was left with debilitating impacts to the right side of my body and my balance, among others that left me unable to walk at first. Weakness, numbness, and an overall uncoordinated feeling magnified when without visual input, especially in my right arm. I was able to graduate from a wheelchair to walker, and then eventually nothing. The stress, has been diabolically unrelenting. I continue to fight and battle back against this with physical therapy, weight training, athletic activities and everything else I need to use my right side for, to hopefully one day regain the capabilities I once had. This adversity is not the first time. But I am getting close to what I felt like before the surgery, I just have to keep pushing. These donations will help me cover my brain surgery and past medical expenses, as well as future healthcare. I was in a fragile financial state before this surgery, and it has since become worse. I have had to focus my time and energy into my rehab and physical well being, rather than continuing to try and advance every aspect of my life. It will help out tremendously and I will be extremely grateful.
