Hello, my name is Bryson and I am 7 years old.
I just recently found out I have a very aggressive form of cancer (Burkitt's Lymphoma) this type of cancer is rapidly spreading because it is in my bloodstream. Fortunately for me, this cancer can be treated quickly, but the recovery will take myself, my brother Elias (5 years old), and my single mommy Jordan out of work for at least six months to help me recover. We are asking if you could donate any amount to help us with the costs we will incur during this time while my mom and brother take care of me and help get me better. I will start chemo right away after surgery that will get the mass out of my stomach and help relieve some pain. I know we have a long road of recovery ahead of us, and we are super grateful for any and all contributions that you could make in preparation for our extended stay at the hospital and in my 24-hour needed care in recovery. Here are some more details regarding our current situation:
- One test already came back confirming it is an aggressive and rapidly spreading cancer called Burkitt's Lymphoma.
- On the positive side, this type can be treated quickly: he will get chemo for 8 days starting tomorrow and then another 8 days of chemo before he can go home to finish treatments at the hospital closer to him (he is currently at a hospital an hour from their home).
- They are waiting on a second test to come back to check for any other types of cancer along with it.
- He is staying in ICU because it is in his bloodstream and his kidneys are not functioning well on their own. The tubes are flushing them for him.
Thankfully, he is at one of the best hospitals for this.
- He should have a total of 6 months to fully treat, unless something else comes back and something changes, but we are believing for nothing more!
