Hi, my name is Christina, and I want to share my story and the purpose behind this journey I'm about to take. For the past couple of years, I've been reflecting on how I can give back to the community, particularly to families going through similar challenges as I once did. I hope you’ll take a moment to hear my story.

When I was 21 years old, I gave birth to twin boys at just 23 weeks. Some of you may already know parts of this story, while others may not. It was an incredibly traumatic and emotional time in my life, and parts of it still feel like a blur. Here’s how it all began:
When I found out I was pregnant, I learned that I was expecting twins. Not only were they twins, but they were also identical — a rare case where they were in separate sacks, sharing the same placenta. This made my pregnancy high-risk, and the doctors told me they had twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. They warned me that my pregnancy wouldn’t go full term, and that I could go into labor any day.
Sure enough, I went into labor just two weeks later. Both boys were born naturally, and, in that moment, they were crying. For the briefest of moments, I felt hope. However, shortly after birth, we lost one of our sons (Braxtin). Our other son, Deegan, faced many challenges and spent 5 months in the NICU at Children’s Hospital, where he received incredible care. Despite the many scares, he came out stronger than I could have ever imagined.

Coming home with Deegan, I had no idea just how much our lives would change. Soon to become a single mom, living paycheck to paycheck, I struggled to make ends meet. I couldn’t qualify for assistance because they said I made too much money. When Deegan finally qualified for SSI, they later told me I had to pay thousands of dollars back. I’ve lost multiple jobs because I had to prioritize Deegan’s needs — because that’s what being a mom is all about.

There were times when I couldn’t pay rent or bills. Every month, I had to decide between what was a need and what was a want. Along the way, I’ve battled mental and physical exhaustion, with little support. No one should have to face these challenges when raising a child with special needs. There has to be more support and more resources available to help families like mine.
Through all of this, I’ve had an idea for years — a dream that I truly believe can make a difference for so many families. With the help of those who believe in this mission, I want to create a clothing store with a purpose. This store will not only be kid-friendly, but also sensory-friendly — welcoming children of all needs and abilities.

I’m excited to introduce Brax'D Co. by V & Liv. This is my dream project, a clothing store with a nonprofit aspect built into it. Here’s the idea:

What is Brax'D Co. by V & Liv?
Brax'D Co. by V & Liv, will provide affordable, high-quality clothing for kids. But it’s so much more than just a store. Every purchase made will help fund a cause that’s close to my heart — helping parents of children with special needs.

Here’s how it will work:
• A portion of every sale will go directly into an account to support families in need.
• This fund will help parents with necessities like rent, groceries, medical bills, and utility payments (water, electricity, gas).
• We will also help cover costs for things like transportation to appointments or provide respite care so parents can take a much-needed break.

Our goal is to support the families who face these challenges, removing some of the stress and giving them the help they deserve.
The goal is to remove the stress that comes with being a parent of a child with special needs and ensure that families can focus on their children’s well-being rather than struggling to make ends meet. The system may make it hard to get help, but together, we can create a space that offers real support, no restrictions, just compassion.

Why I Need Your Help:
To make Brax'D Co. a reality, I need your support. We’re raising funds to cover the costs of opening a storefront and launching an online store. I truly believe this vision will help thousands of families, but I can’t do it alone. Your donations will directly contribute to making this dream come true.

Every bit of support matters—whether it’s financial, spreading the word, or sharing your own experiences. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

Thank you for reading my brief story. I’m beyond excited to grow Brax'D Co. and offer something that can truly make a difference.

Together, we can support families, make life a little easier, and build a brighter future for children with special needs.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Bless you all for taking the time to read my story.
