Support Cancer research, and advocacy with Angels Among Us!

Executive Summary:

Angels Among Us is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization that fundraises, spreads awareness, and advocates for different cancers and supports those battling cancer.

Through hosting different fundraisers and events, we look to help provide monetary funds to battle cancer and support those fighting the disease. Additionally, Angels Among Us hosts advocacy projects and events to assist in creating awareness and generate support through our platforms.

Origin:

Angels Among Us began in 2022, and officially expanded to create chapters beyond Lebanon Trail High School (Frisco, Texas) in 2023.

Angels Among Us began as a project for a DECA challenge, which won third and first place in two competitions internationally.

Mission:

"Our mission at Angels Among Us is to honor the legacy of those who have lost their battle with cancer by providing unwavering support to those who continue to fight."

Vision:

"Our vision at Angels Among Us is to support those battling cancer, inspired by the memory of those lost, and to build a community committed to fundraising, advocacy, and creating awareness.”

Our Activities

Fundraising:

Fundraising is a consistent activity that all members of Angels Among Us have been a part of.

We have fundraised for: the NPCF, NBCF, St. Judes, MDA, NFCR

We have conducted sports activities, bake sales, door-to-door, and school fundraisers.

We have totaled over $35K in donations (as of November 2024)

Annual Winter Fundraiser:

Launched throughout Angels Among Us, NATIONALLY

A two-month long campaign for fundraising for cancer, beginning in December & ending at the end of January.

Awareness & Advocacy:

Angels Among Us is also keen on spreading awareness on the various cancers through verbal, digital, and media-based messages.

Using social media & our platforms, AAU looks to spread awareness and advocate for supporting those facing cancer.

Angels Among Us has hosted events solely based on the idea of advocacy: For example, webinars, seminars, and advocacy sessions.

Other activities:

Angels Among Us also takes part in advocacy for current issues throughout the world, specifically supporting children.

Fundraising for specific children with cancer: activity launched in the summer of 2024

Angels Among Us began in Frisco, Texas (Home City)

@ Lebanon Trail High School (Home Chapter)

As of November 2024, Angels Among Us has expanded to over 11 states and 40+ chapters!
