Donate masks and hair caps to Los Robles Hospital

Hi everyone. My friend and fellow Cal Lutheran alum Illissa Mestas ‘14 (https://www.instagram.com/illissaa/) is a nurse at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks and she’s working the covid-19 unit. She just recently reached out to her friends on Facebook asking if there was a way people could send her handmade masks and hair caps.

I told her I would be happy to help in any way I could. I proposed purchasing and sending her handmade masks sold on Etsy. She told me I could ship the supplies to her house and she could distribute them to her team.

1. Hair caps and masks with a 40% discount
I found some great surgical caps hair caps from Etsy (https://etsy.me/2y6RcDk). The seamstress is actually working with me directly and has graciously provided me with a 40% discount code per each purchase. She will also be throwing in her own masks with each order. If you are a healthcare worker who would like the 40% discount code, please send me a message and I'll provide it to you!

2. Masks with filters
I found a woman named Sumaya who makes high quality handmade masks with filters (https://etsy.me/3avEAUr). They are great and made to order. Her masks can be worn over n95 masks for added protection.

3. Masks with HEPA filters
There is a man named Eric who makes handmade masks with HEPA filters (https://etsy.me/2JCygPb). He has an abundant supply. HEPA filters are commonly accepted by hospitals, but are hard to come by (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/96-101/default.html). 

4. Masks with HEPA filters
There is a woman named Terri who makes handmade masks with HEPA filters. She has a limited supply of masks but I look at her shop as well (https://etsy.me/3bFk2ZI).  HEPA filters are commonly accepted by hospitals, but are hard to come by (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/docs/96-101/default.html).
