We are a group of activists that are organising a performance called Raise the Vibration.
Raise the Vibration is a performance part of the V-day movement where activists stage their own works. It covers a range of topics such as gender and sexuality, identity, the changing socio-political climate, and all forms of discrimination. The event wants to raise voices through the connection of action, art, imagination, and love.
V-day is a global activist movement to end gendered violence, which is fighting the rise of right-wing nationalism, white supremacy, fascism, tyranny, racism, misogyny, femicide, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and climate destruction. Founded by V (formerly Eve Ensler), activist and author of the The Vagina Monologues, V-Day has inspired people all over the world and raised collective consciousness about how violence and gender intersect. V-Day is a movement and an example of how the power of art can be used as a liberating tool for transformational holistic education and social justice.
All the money collected with the performance will be given to Women in Exile & Friends, a local organisation based in Potsdam founded by refugee women to fight for their rights.
