Give Foster Kids Dignity – Support the Heart Bags Project!

Hi, my name is Zach, and I’m the founder of Eco Brothers, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to making a difference in my community. Over the years, our organization has provided more than 230,000 books to over 70,000 students and raised over $180,000 for literacy and environmental initiatives. Now, I’m launching a new project—Heart Bags—as part of my Eagle Scout Service Project, and I need your help!

There are 2,500 children in foster care in Hillsborough County, Florida, and 420,000 across the U.S. Many of these children move between homes at least three times, often carrying their belongings in trash bags. Imagine what that must feel like—being told, even indirectly, that your life and possessions are disposable. No child should feel like garbage.

That’s why I’m raising funds to provide large duffle bags filled with comfort items—things like blankets, stuffed animals, hygiene products, books, and journals—to children in foster care. These Heart Bags will give them not only a sense of dignity but also something to call their own during a difficult and uncertain time.

Every $50 donation will provide one fully stocked Heart Bag to a foster child in need. My goal is to raise $5000 to provide as many bags as possible to children in our community.
