Fabi Hair (Fabiana Santos) of @hair_salon_pietras, as she is known in our Community and Fall River Region, is going through an emergency situation with her mother in Brazil who discovered a large brain tumor last week and was rushed to surgery by the private network, as she was unable to have surgery in the public emergency room. How did everything happen so fast?!

Read below:

• On August 12: Her mother, Maria Aparecida dos Santos, began to faint and had 4 seizures. She went to the hospital, but they discharged her saying it was a “nervous problem”; • On August 13th: The seizures got worse at night and she went to the private hospital, where they discharged her again saying it was a “nervous problem” and she went home;

• On August 14th: She fainted and went back to the hospital and _only then_ was she diagnosed with a huge tumor on the right side of her head that was pressing on her skull due to its size, causing seizures and a high risk to her life. The surgery would have to be rushed. The public health system said she would be on the waiting list with no set date, so the only option was to have the surgery at the private hospital.

At that time, the hospital bills for the surgery and the fact that her mother was still hospitalized already totaled R$93 thousand reais in debt.

• Fabi Hair made a promise to her mother if she survived the surgery and shaved her head to give her mother strength. Fabi also really needs the help of our Brazilian Community to pay for the hospital so that her mother can continue receiving care. Ways to help:

A Fabi Hair (Fabiana Santos) do @hair_salon_pietras como é conhecida na nossa Comunidade de Fall River e Região está passando por uma situação de Emergência com a Mãe no Brasil que descobriu semana passada um Tumor grande no cérebro semana passada e foi operada às pressas pela rede particular, pois não conseguiu a cirurgia pela emergência da rede pública. A Fabi precisa da nossa ajuda com a sua doação pelo GoFundMe.

Como tudo aconteceu tão rápido?!

• No dia 12 de Agosto: A Mãe dela, Maria Aparecida dos Santos começou a desmaiar e teve 4 convulsões, foi para o hospital mas deram alta pra ela dizendo que era “problema de nervos” ;

• ⁠No dia 13 de Agosto: As convulsões pioraram a noite e ela foi para o hospital particular, onde novamente deram alta dizendo ser “ problema de nervos” e ela voltou pra casa;

• ⁠No dia 14 de Agosto: ela teve desmaio e voltou ao hospital e _só então_ recebeu o diagnóstico de que era um tumor enorme do lado direito da cabeça que estava pressionado o crânio por causa do tamanho ocasionando a convulsões e um risco de vida alto e a cirurgia teria que ser às pressas, pela rede pública disseram que ela iria para a fila de espera sem previsão de data, então o único recurso foi operar pelo hospital particular,

Nesse momento as contas do Hospital com as despesas da cirurgia e por ela ainda estar internada já está em R$93 mil reais.

• A Fabi Hair fez uma promessa a Mãe se ela conseguisse sobreviver a cirurgia e raspou o cabelo para dar força a Mãe dela, e a Fabi também precisa muito da ajuda da nossa Comunidade Brasileira para pagar o Hospital para a Mãe continuar a ser atendida.
