Hey there! If you haven’t met us before we’re the organizers of Django Girls PDX! For four years we’ve been putting on one day workshops for women and gender minorities where we teach attendees how to build a website from the ground up with Python and Django. Our workshops are completely free and targeted at total beginners. You can read a little bit more about our mission here !
It’s incredibly important to us to make sure that all our attendees have a positive experience, and that we’re removing as many barriers as possible to attending the workshop. This is why our workshops are fully catered, and why we offer loaner laptops and free onsite childcare. We love that we’re able to offer these things but they can be quite expensive!
We are grateful to our corporate sponsors, but we also regularly depend on the help of the community to be able to put on our events. Your support helps us give a really important opportunity to 40 people and we can’t possibly overstate how much we appreciate it!
