These aren't the bills that come later. This is what I need to pay to be TREATED.
I realized I needed to reach out for help when I wanted to talk to a counselor and changed my mind when I was told it was 35 a visit. THE BIGGEST REASON I AM REACHING OUT: Living well for and with my children.
One Oct. 27th I am scheduled to have surgery to have and ovary and cysts removed. They are very possibly already attached to my colon because I have severe endometriosis (ouch). On Oct. 14th I am to pay 450, (minimum) for surgery to be scheduled for sure. Finding that our was the last straw.
JUST COPAYS that I currently cannot afford. No copay, no visit.
450 due for surgeon
$30 x 20 sessions of physical therapy for chronic pain= 600
35 x 3 + visits with GI specialist
35 x 3 visits with Gyn
Labs- 400
monthly perscriptions $49
Counselor to help me process all of this $35 a visit...I can use many right now. Already over 2,000 just to get what I need. that isn't even gas getting to all of the appointments.
I also need to continue seeing the same doctor for depression that I have seen for years.
I do not have paid leave in my position. I will need to cover my rent and bills during the time that I am in the hospital and healing.
They surgery itself is to remove two cysts and an ovary. One cysts needs to be biopsied. The surgery may be complicated, losing part of my colon to make me healthier. I also have 4 other autoimmune conditions that I live with daily.
I can't fake my way through this one, or smile it off or make a glitter joke about it. I want to know that in a few months I will have had surgery and bills are taken care of and the children have what they need. I want Sam to have a good birthday. I want to wake up without horrible pain in my abdomen. I WANT to run around with the kids. I WANT to be a good scout leader, be positive that I am going to well well enough to go to church, to volunteer to make sanwiches. To be ACTIVE
I WANT to take the children to the beach or something crazy like to see Harry Potter at Universal. I mostly WANT a normal day back.
