My name is Dion Strowhorn Sr, and I'm the writer/director and producer of the documentary 'Divorced.. Now what?' I've written and produced several films such as; The Concert, Number 37, Overcome, Redial, Over the Edge and The Vulva Chronicles. Also, I'm the Founder/Creative Director of Totally Free Productions, The Chi-Town Multicultural Film Festival, Alumni of Diverse Voices in DOCS and a member of SAG-AFTRA.
The money raised through this gofundme campaign will be used toward the principal production of the documentary 'Divorced.. Now what?'.
Monies raised will be used to purchase a three light interview kit, cine lense, lens adapter(s) and a wireless microphone system.
We are looking to begin principal production on 'Divorced.. Now what?' in late June/early July of 2016.
This documentary means a lot to me. I was married for twenty years and once I divorced, I found myself stuck. Stuck emotionally, stuck spiritually and relationally. I not only wanted help for myself, but for others going through the same situation. So, I decided to do this project. This project will show men that they are not alone, not a failure and give them the strength they need to get back on their feet and move forward with their lives.
