direct help for people in Ukraine

I am a Ukrainian by origin and am now a GP in England. My home town in Ukraine, Vinnitsyia, is receiving large numbers of refugees fleeing eastern cities. I know personally about people on the ground, my University friends, who are helping to house these refugees and providing them with food and medical care at their own expense. Whatever funds we can raise here will go directly to the people in Ukraine who so desperately need urgent help.
Many UK aid agencies and UK citizens have responded with incredible generosity, for which we are very grateful. However, getting aid inside Ukraine is a huge logistical challenge. I believe that the best way to help people who are inside Ukraine is to transfer money right to those who are right now doing all they can to support refugees of this awful war.
