Dew Drop Inn Sign Restoration

If you've been to Saranac Lake, you've seen this sign. It's big - 12 feet tall! It's beautiful - a classic neon sign from the 1950's. It's out there - this is THE most photographed spot in the village...not a day goes by in our most visited times of the year when someone doesn't stop by to snap a pic. Artists paint it, lovers remember it, locals and visitors embrace it as part of our community.
But there's this...the building the sign hung on for 67 years is undergoing a massive renovation. Every inch of it is being taken down to bare bones and rebuilt. The problem is that the demolition has uncovered a number of unexpected issues that we're going to have to address. And now there's no room in the budget for non-structural items...like the sign.
So we're asking for the community's help. We'll take care of fixing the building. Can you help us take care of the sign? It would mean a lot to a lot of people if the sign stayed in Saranac Lake. Our architect, Rich Hanpeter, has designed a space to hang the sign indoors, visible from Broadway, so we can restore the neon and still comply with the village sign regulations.
We, the owners, commit to using all money raised to pay for the restoration and rehanging of the Dew Drop Inn sign to keep this important part of our history alive. WILL YOU HELP??
