Devastation at Christmas

Hi, I’m Becky this is not something I’ve ever done before or use light heartedly, But unfortunately it’s the only way I’m able to help my family in such a time of need, I also need to shout this story from the roof tops as a warning!! Yesterday evening we received a gut wrenching phone call that my brothers house was in flames!! First question asked, was obviously “Is everyone out” and thankfully yes! After my brother and two nephews tried to slow the fire down as best they could until it was too much, my brother tried longer than he should have but that’s him! He‘s always been my hero since I can remember, the entire upstairs is completely destroyed, ceilings fallen down everything is burnt rubble, Down stairs is black, smoke damage & water damage, their home is condemned, clothes, belongings, valuables, Christmas presents GONE! All this a week before Christmas.

This is all down to a vape charger!!! A VAPE CHARGER!!!! So please remember to turn your sockets off!! It’s crazy because my sister in law is that mother who will run about after everyone shouting at someone for leaving them on, but we’re all guilty of it. To make matters worse they have no home insurance.

So their home has been ripped apart and there’s nothing to fall back on, Obviously as a family we pull together and help where we can, but I feel completely helpless, a failure of a sister and auntie that I can’t give them what they need and deserve. I know it’s a time where we are all trying our best to save some pennies but if anyone does have anything they can spare we would all appreciate it, and please remember to turn your sockets off!!
