I am Jamar Day a Community Organizer from Baltimore, MD. I am a friend of the Ashe Family and also a victim of recent gun violence in Baltimore City.
On Jan 4, 2023, Deotae Dorsey was one of 5 teens shot at the Edmonson Village shopping center during lunchtime. Deontae was not the intended target of this senseless act of violence and was shot 18 TIMES!
We are asking for the communities help in raising funds to help cover the families portion of Deonta's funeral and other immediate needs they have. ALL FUNDS WILL BE DELIVERED DIRECTLY TO THE FAMILY VIA DONNA AHSE!
""We are hurt with this senseless crime that has happened yesterday—not just for Deonta but for all the other children involved. We ask for the neighborhood to continue, the community to continue to pray for each and every one of the families," said his aunt, her voice straining with emotion. "We are very heartbroken, and we're trying to get through this the best way we can."
