We've done it! - the backyard is COMPLETE!
Do want to join us in making a difference to the lives of families escaping domestic violence?
Delvena is one of the women and children based domestic violence refuges based on the North Shore, Sydney run by Manly Warringah Women's Resource Centre Ltd.
We cannot wait to surprise our mums and their kids with a beautful place to sit but we need your help!
Currently the backyard is full of hard surfaces, no trees and no special areas for mums and kids to sit and relax away from each other in this
communal style of living.
We now have a wonderful landscape plan and now we need the money to get the plants, trees, the beautiful garden beds and mass paintings underway!
So many hard surfaces in the backyard gives the existing backyard the feel of an institution, rather than a beautiful place to relax and enjoy, recuperate and recover.
With specially chosen plants that will add colour, be safe around children of all ages and exciting places to play including a large outdoor blackboard and places to play near their cubby house.
We are excited about the next stage in creating a beautiful backyard for our families to enjoy that will help assist their recovery to rebuild their lives.
Stage 1 was achieved in replacing the softfall in the backyard that had become hard and crumbling apart.
