I am so disappointed and hurt right now but I cannot imagine the hurt and pain that her family feels. Her little girl’s life will never be the same. Today I am starting a reward fund for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or person’s that killed De’Launa Powell.
A few years ago we sponsored a reward campaign and we captured the murders of Rev. Sam Richardson who was killed inside of his Prichard Barbershop. We named the campaign “I AM SAM”. SAM stands for “Senseless Acts of Murder”.
I spoke with Chief James Barber of the Mobile Police Department and the family of Ms. Powell and we need the community to get involved. The Mobile Police Department has dedicated a direct line for anyone that may have any information that could possibly help this case.
