DeeCee O'Malley life with Leukaemia

DeeCee is our daughter, our sister, our grand daughter, our niece and the sunshine in our lives. She is the second oldest in our big blended family of 9! (Blending half siblings and step siblings to create chaos) She is also a much adored half sister to another 3!

She is a vibrant caring compassionate 23 year old who has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia!

One day planning to take one of her sisters to The Offspring concert literally in hospital the next day being told she has a form of incurable cancer.

This kid has just had her life and dreams yanked out from under her, in a time where she should be planning an overseas adventure with her friends, she is now having to worry about how to beat this disease to stay alive. On top of that there are the daily stresses of how to afford a clean hygienic house to go home to between treatments when she can't work to support herself.

The saying is "laughter is the best medicine" but it's hard to laugh when you're so young and staring death in the face and it's completely out of anyone's control. Money doesn't buy happiness but it sure helps!

Every little bit helps, that small change you just got from the supermarket, the money you just saved by not buying the pack of smokes because reading this has given you a new lease on life. DeeCee has never asked for anything she has the soul of an angel and would be the first one to help if you needed it, she genuinely IS one of the last good people on this earth. Please help us to keep her here for many more years to come.

As parents we are doing everything we can to help her however with her dad recently undergone a quadruple heart bypass money is tougher than just a little bit tight, which has lead us to here.
