Debt Free Before the Baby

Donation protected
Hello Friends,

My husband and I are newlyweds and so excited to be 6 months into our pregnancy journey with little Joy.  She is already full of light, and our love for her continues to grow as she does each day.  Our wish would be to birth her into this world with full confidence we can provide for her everything she'll need.  After much discussion and mindful consideration, we realized that the burden of excess debt would make it near impossible to provide our growing family what it needs.  For this reason we are seeking monitary gifts to become debt free.

We are so grateful for our working lives!  Our local community has been so supportive of the work we love, and as such, we can actually say we are 'working artsits.'  In addition to landscaping and teaching work, 7 days a week we can be found working one of our many trades: drumming, singing, teacing music, teaching performing arts, directing, painting, and expressive arts facilitation.

...'Wait'....you may be thinking, 'What's that last one? Expressive Arts Facilitation?'  A few years ago I began an incredible journey to further my love and passion for teaching performing arts by exploring the potentially holistic aspects of art.  This lead me down the path of Expressive Arts:  Practicing a variety of art modalities to discover, explore, question, and answer just about anything!  While it's not therapy, the work can be theraputic and my life has forever been changed by immersing myself in the practice.  So much so, that I chose to engage in professional training that would certify me to become an expressive arts facilitator.  Havig completed the training, I am now able to facilitate these deep, powerful, and miraculous art experiences for others.

To acheive this I took out a loan to pay for the certificate program.  At the time I had acquired quite a bit of credit card debt from a combination of poor college decisions, gifting credit to an ex (another poor decision,) and medical bills (yet another poor decision).  As a result I was drowning in credit card debt and took out a consolidation loan.  These in addition to a car payment (that's ALMOST paid off) and a sliver of undergraduate student loan debt brings my grand total to 13,000.

Despite the nearly $1,500 a month in debt payments I make each month, I have never, not once missed a payment.  Sure I have done without haircuts, going out, and stretched groceries, but I have never compromised my agreement to pay back the debt I owe.  This is my mess I made and I am determined to clean it up.

However, with Joy on the way my husband and I would love to clean up my mess much quicker!  So, in exchange for your generous donation to relieve the debt, I will offer to gift you with a FREE expressive arts workshop experience.  I will send you a video you can play which will lead you in a guided meditiation and art making experience designed to ground you, center you, and encourage discovery through art.  Don't worry if you're not an artist or feel you aren't creative; it's all about the process.

With your help we'll actually be able to save the money we earn each month and not just hope we stay afloat.  Your gift to relieve this burden will help us provide for Joy, as we can contribute to a downpayment on a first home, pay for pregnancy and birth expenses, and provide our daughter and her sister with food, clothing, and security.

Thank you so much for your consideration to help us pay off this debt and bring Joy into this world financially ready.
