Debbie's Handicap Van Fund
Donation protected
In the year 2000, Debbie Foster was diagnosed with MS. For the past 5 years she has been confined to a wheelchair, getting to and from places with the help of her loving husband Bob. I met Bob and Debbie Foster a little over a year ago and they are easily the sweetest, kindest, most charitable people I have ever known. Debbie has the biggest heart and an enormous amount of love for people and animals alike. Before she lost her ability to walk she volunteered for her local 4-h equestrian youth program. Even now she is always looking for new ways to serve those around her, her most recent project involving teaching scouts how to make tie blankets to donate to foster children. Her husband Bob retired early from the Deputy Sheriff's department to care for Debbie and together they continue to serve others any way they can. Bob helps Debbie get from place to place by lifting her into their truck, however he has recently developed back problems that make lifting her difficult. For everything they have done for me and the community, I want to raise money so they can buy a handicap van to help Debbie get around more easily and so Bob doesn't hurt his back. Because the van needs a built in ramp for her wheelchair they can be a little pricy, but any donation is appreciated. I know the Fosters would love a van to continue doing what they love including service, camping, visiting their grandchildren, and making the most out of what life has given them.
