Debate For Change 2023

Hi everyone!

To participate in Debate For Change 2023, there is a $20 entry fee per person. If you are able to donate more, please feel free to! Both competitors and judges are expected to donate, but if the entry fee serves as a financial barrier to anyone, please message us (@debateforchange2023) on Instagram or email us (linked on Tabroom) and we can accommodate you.

This year, 100% of proceeds will go to the Hetrick-Martin Institute, a local organization in New York City centered around LGBTQ+ youth development. By providing healthcare, mental health resources, education, and economic assistance, it seeks to empower and advocate for queer youth on both a local and national level.

We will only be holding Public Forum this year. The Septober resolution used will be Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its military presence in the Arctic.

To compete, you can either enter yourself into the tournament, and then donate. We will approve your entry once we see the donation. Here is the Tabroom link: http://debateforchange.tabroom.com

Otherwise, you can donate first, then message us your information (school, partner, etc) and we will enter you into the tournament.

Mavericks are allowed! If you are able to provide a judge, it is greatly appreciated as well :)
