Dearist Classroom Fundraiser Spring 2023

You never know where a letter will lead, especially for young minds.

Dearist is a book series that helps educators instill the wonder of writing and sending letters by mail. This fundraiser was created on behalf of the teachers on the Dearist Spring 2023 Waitlist - 25 elementary and middle school classrooms, about 600 kids who are eager to begin writing letters!

These students have read/will read the New York Times bestseller I Will Always Write Back, a "true story of an all-American girl and a boy from Zimbabwe and the letter that changed both of their lives forever." With your help, these students can begin their own letter writing journeys with Dearist, starting in their classrooms. They will also have the opportunity to connect with other students around the world via a new pen pal program with Caitlin Alifirenka, author of I Will Always Write Back.

Dearist Classroom Packs provide everything needed to support a lesson plan on letter writing. One Classroom Pack ($249) will serve a classroom of up to 25 students. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

With one Dearist Classroom Pack, students can generate up to 75 handwritten letters. The impact of this work, however, will carry on long after the letters have been delivered.
