Trees for All

My name is Sylvia and I am known as "The Tree Lady" at the high school I graduated from.
Every year my Mom and I volunteer at an event called Shop with a Warrior. The local high school students raise money to take children in our local area out to purchase Christmas presents for their family. These families would otherwise not be able to celebrate Christmas.
About four years ago one very special child used all of the gift money to purchase a Christmas tree, as this child's family had never had a Christmas tree. Christmas is a very tough time for many families. Four years ago as a broke college student I realized how privileged I was to never have to worry about having a Christmas tree to celebrate with every year. I worked really hard after that year to buy trees and decorations. Every year my mother and I try to provide as many trees as we can for families in need. This year will be tougher for most families.
During this time we are purchasing for this year and next year. 
We are looking to purchase trees and decorations as usual, but this year we would like to go well beyond that. We are looking to assist this school with purchasing blankets, food, coloring books, and crayons. 
We have been working hard all year round to make this happen, but we had no idea how tough this year would be on families.
