On Sunday 3rd of March 2024, David O'Reilly tragically passed away from a heart attack while trail running with friends in the Australian bush. Dave had recently turned 50. He leaves Julia, his wife of 20 years, and their 18 year old daughter Chloe.

Dave was fit and healthy, being a very active member and a volunteer Patrol Supervisor for the South Curl Curl Life Saving Club.

He will be fondly remembered for his willingness to help others, and his patient and calm nature. David was also known for his utter devotion to his family, seeing his favourite bands, collecting vinyl records, Formula 1, Star Wars, ocean swimming, South Curly, and all things British.

A funeral service and celebration of David's life will be held at the South Curl Curl Life Saving Club on 5th April, 2024, at 4pm.

Any donations will go towards covering the funeral costs, with any left over going to Julia and Chloe to help them prepare for a future without Dave.
