In April 2018, my family was torn apart  due to the negligence and biased opinion of a child abuse pediatrician.

Once a child abuse pediatrician accuses a family of child abuse, they are guilty.  The notion you are innocent until proven guilty no longer exist in this situation.  A medical doctor, often contracted and working for CPS, is accusing a family or individual of child abuse.  Because of this, an investigation is rarely done by CPS, leaving the burden of proving themselves innocent up the the families.

This is not an easy task.  To secure adequate counsel and hire experts to find the true cause of a child's injuries averages between fifty- and one-hundred thousand dollars.

Many families don't know or realize the extent this accusation has or will have on their lives until they go to court for the first time, often weeks after they have had no contact with their child or children, to then realize the state is petitioning to have their parental rights permanently terminated.

This also includes being placed on a national child abuse registry.  The placement of your name on this registry does not come after the accusation is founded.  No!  In all but 4 states in the US, parent's names are placed on this registry before they have even stepped foot in a courthouse to know what exactly what they are being charged with and why.

The answer to the question why, can be answered by the "medical" report the child abuse pediatrician made against them while collecting a "history" from the parents.  According to Bethany Mohr,  "So we don’t do forensic interviews, it’s a history,  and this becomes really important when it comes to – hopefully you’ll never have to do this, but testifying in court… A medical history is not considered hearsay.”

This may seem like a made up story, but I can assure you it is not.  It is happening around the country, Canada, Australia, the UK.  I receive messages from a families one to three times a week looking for help.  This is just me and my very small part of the internet.  Families need help!

I have been advocating for families and individuals since February 2019.  After 8 months of fighting to get my children back, and for my innocence, I was approached by an investigative reporter who has been investigating the physician who accused of child abuse for more than 5 years.  After cancelling the first, and still reluctant the second time, we did agree to share our story .   The investigator did a follow up story about how child abuse pediatricians are tearing families apart.

The day after our story aired, I awoke to numerous families reaching out for help.  I realized then, families need someone to help guide them when they have been accused of harming their child.   But also, they need support from someone who has been in this situation.  I was a nursing mother who had my 6 week old, exclusively breastfed son taken away from me and my husband.  We were ordered to have no contact with our son and oue 15 month old daughter, without any court order barring us from seeing them, for 22 days.  Knowledge of no court order came after the trial had concluded.  These families need someone to talk to. They need support.

I offer this support, attorney resources, and once an attorney is obtained, I work with and under guidance of the attorney, by providing resources to medical experts who can review the case and testify in court, if needed.  I also provide research and medical literature to the families and attorneys as requested.  All of this is done free of charge, and that is way I want to keep it.  Families faced with this type of accusation will likely face enormous financial devastations.  The last thing they need is someone offering to their help at a cost.

My advocacy is costing me money.  My family is still trying to recover from our own financial devastation due to the accusation made against us, but this is something that needs to be done.  I will continue to provide support and resources to these families, but to help supplement the costs and enable me to do more for these families, I am requesting donations.

These donations will also go toward securing a non-profit (501)(c) status.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and thank you for your support and donations to not myself, but past, current and future families devastated by false allegations of child abuse.
