Darius Boone Memorial Fund

Darius was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and cherished father who lost his life to gun violence. At only 21 years old, he had experienced a life full of ambition ahead of him. He had dreams of helping at-risk youth and earning a degree that would allow him to help children without parents. Those closest to him know that his biggest aspiration was to be an incredible father to his children. In his death, Darius leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old son. Our family is looking to carry out his dreams by providing for and raising his children, offering them the childhood their father wanted to give. Through his children, we will honor Darius' legacy. Here is a quick update on how your donations are helping! My family is using these funds to seek custody of Darius Jr. and transitional childcare. Whatever remains afterward will be placed into an educational fund for the children. I am Darius' older brother David Boone and will be withdrawing the funds and managing the legal expenses as we make progress on child custody. I will also be materializing the education accounts for the remaining funds once the legal process has concluded and Darius Jr has stable childcare.
