Alternate Donation Options

In early February 2023, Dante fell at home and shattered his femur (thigh bone). Doctors quickly discovered that the bone broke due to a large tumor growing inside of it. He was transferred to UCSF Benioff Children's hospital in San Francisco for further testing and treatment. Unfortunately, the tumor was found to be cancer - Osteosarcoma .

Dante now has a long road ahead of him - up to a year of chemotherapy and major leg surgery to repair his shattered femur. Most of the chemotherapy will be done inpatient at UCSF, resulting in constant multi-day trips to San Francisco from Novato (about an hour's drive each way).

Money raised here will go directly to the financial assistance of Dante and his family. To start, the first money collected will be used to cover the sometimes multiple trips per week to SF in gas, bridge tolls, parking fees, meals, and so on. After that, money will be used to supplement family living expenses such as rent, utilities, and groceries while they juggle working and being a caregiver for a cancer patient with a fractured leg.
