Family Support Fund

There are some wonderful, selfless people in this world—one of them is my sister Lori, who has been through a significant amount of upheaval through her life and particularly this year.
Lori is the mother of two wonderful children, Julia and Daniella.
9 years ago Daniella was born with multiple disabilities. She was diagnosed with arthrogryposis, bilateral club feet, as well as neurological and developmental disorders. Daniella requires a wheelchair and lifts, as well as constant care.
Even so, Lori has carried on with a smile—all to be the best role model for her two beautiful daughters, her step son Coulton and her partner, (Julia and Daniella's father) Dave, who was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago.
As Dave’s illness progressed, Lori had to step away from her long-term job in order to support Dave and care for Daniella, who requires full-time care and attention. Sadly Dave passed recently, and will be terribly missed by all he left behind.

Although Lori’s spirit remains strong, her heart is broken. She is overwhelmed with loss and the responsibility of caring for Daniella, while finding a way to also provide for her children alone. This is even more complicated as Dave had no life insurance.
In order to return to work, and accommodate Daniella’s special needs, Lori immediately requires an accessible vehicle, stair lifts, tracking equipment to help Daniella into and out of the bathtub, wheelchair ramps, additional respite support and at-home care.
Please consider contributing to this fund to help provide care for Daniella so that Lori can return to work. Every contribution helps.
With gratitude,
Kerri King
