Daniel Lee Memorial Fund
Daniel H. Lee, 41 of Madeira, Ohio passed away on Saturday July 31st, 2021 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati from COVID-19 complications. Intentional, loving husband of Alison Lee and devoted father to his precious daughters Elise and Abigail.
We are raising funds to donate to his grieving family and add to the Daniel Lee Memorial Fund. There is so much tragedy in the loss of Daniel. Our hope is to bless this Alison and the girls financially as the endure this painful chapter.
Daniel was born in Toronto, Canada. After moving to Alabama as a young child, he excelled in school, played hockey, baseball, and basketball, and was fondly nicknamed “The Big Korean”. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and continued on to receive a Masters and Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
He began his career at General Electric in 2011 in Aviation with his most recent position being a Subsection Manager.
Daniel was an utterly devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend and avid Alabama football fan. Roll Tide!! His passion for serving others spanned every area of his life. It was part of the fabric of his being. He was the most fulfilled when he was serving someone in some way.
He was a long time member of Crossroads Church where he met his wife Alison and over the years served on the creative team, as a mentor, in the kids ministry and with Habitat for Humanity. Daniel was a titan - not because of his brute strength or powerful position. He was the rarest kind of titan; humble and quiet with the inner strength to always do the right thing, compassionate and loving, protecting anyone in a weaker position than him.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his never-ending kindness, his ability to lay down his life for others every single day, his strong character, mighty integrity, sense of justice, steadfast, peaceful spirit and for his wonderful sense of humor.
We greatly appreciate any donations or shares of Daniel's story. All funds will be withdrawn by Daniel's brother-in-law, Tom Glover. He is in close contact with Daniel's wife Alison and all money is transferred directly the Daniel Lee Memorial fund via Fifth Third Bank.
