Dancers Standing for Change (DSC) is an initiative started by a group of dancers that are passionate about creating a tangible impact towards the Black Lives Matter movement. In order to do this, DSC will be offering a series of “by donation” dance classes with 100% of the proceeds going towards Black Lives Matter Toronto & Black Health Alliance.
The black community’s contributions to the dance industry have been monumentally influential, and we as a dance community feel strongly about celebrating these contributions while standing as allies during this difficult time. While our primary goal is to help raise funds towards various charities that support that black community, we hope to create a platform in which educational resources and voices of the black lives matter movement can be consolidated and heard.
Together we are standing for equality, accountability, justice, and CHANGE.
