Dan Stamness Memorial Fund

Dan Stamness sadly passed away on February 14th, 2024. His passing was very sudden and unexpected and he will be dearly missed by many friends and family. This memorial fund is organized by his daughter Aleena in case anyone would like to help his family navigate these difficult times.

About Dan Stamness

Dan Stamness was loved by all who knew him. He was a reliable friend, loving husband, awesome father, and amazing guitar player.

In his youth, he went to college for Audio Engineering and played in a rock band called Wiser Sin with his brother and two best friends. His great passion for music stayed strong throughout the rest of his life. He also played in multiple bands wherever he lived and never missed the opportunity to perform on stage with his daughter, Aleena. He had plans to start a family band with Aleena as his singer and bass player and his son, Caspian as his drummer.

Dan would eventually marry Justina Firmage Stamness and have two kids, Aleena and Caspian. He was the best father and role model to them. He taught them his love for music, technology, and the great outdoors, to always pursue your dreams, and to always stand up for yourself. He was a dad you could come to for any problem and would always give excellent advice. He made sure his kids knew how proud of them he was every step of the way. And when Dan met Aleena's fiancé Will Todd, he treated him like family and called him his son.

Dan was also the best teacher and always looked for ways he could be his best self. Whether it was changing the oil on his daughter's car, or teaching others how to use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Power BI, he put his heart and soul into it.

Before Dan passed away, he married his new love Iriva in an intimate ceremony. After facing uncertainty and sadness after his wife Justina and brother Perry passed away, he was finally the happiest he had been in a long time. Dan had an unmistakable glow to him after meeting Iriva and had many cherished memories during his time with her.

Dan is survived by his wife Iriva Lane Stamness, daughter Aleena Stamness, son Caspian Stamness, future son-in-law William Todd, and his two dogs Kuma and Sebastian. He is also survived by many family and friends that loved him and will miss him greatly.

About Dan's Memorial Fund

This fund is organized by Dan's daughter, Aleena Stamness. I was encouraged to start a memorial fund after the sudden passing of my father. The purpose of this fund is to help cover the costs of Dan's funeral, transportation from Texas to Washington, headstone, outstanding debt, and associated costs of travel for his immediate family. Any further donations would be used towards further expenses resulting from his passing and to help his son, Caspian, start his life and begin college in the future.
