Damian’s Leukemia Appointments

Donation protected
Hey y’all. The little guy in the photo is my main man, Damian. His mom, Sam, has to make sure he gets to Tulsa once a week to St. Francis for his doctor’s appointments, and sometimes he gets sick and has to stay for a few days. (His little brother, Ayden, will soon have weekly appointments in Springfield for vision correction, also.) She doesn’t have a vehicle, so she relies on Damian’s stepdad, my younger brother, Casey, to do the driving. This week, they were in an accident on their way to visit him during his most recent hospital stay - everyone is ok, but Casey’s mustang did not have full coverage. Casey is on a fixed income, and Sam is a full-time caregiver for the children. The young family - who are expecting a 3rd child in June - were finally able to secure an apartment today through HUD, but have nothing but the clothes on their backs. My grandfather (who is also on fixed income in retirement) and myself have been, and will continue, to help them in every way we can, but I have learned recently that sometimes it is ok to ask for help. My goal is to be able to provide them with a reliable, fuel efficient, family vehicle and help furnish their home, cover the deposit, and pay the utilities a few month in advance to give them some cushion.
