Dalton's Medical Mission Trip

Hello everyone! My name is Dalton Canonico and I am currently attending the University of New England, wrapping up my sophomore year as a medical biology student. This May I will be traveling with 12 other students on an international medical missons trip to Costa Rica. The purpose of or club is to help families in poverty, educate them about living a healthier lifestyle, and to give undergraduate students an opportunity to take advantage of their role as an educated scholar in a globalized world. 
Throughout the course of 10 days, we will be volunteering with local doctors in medical clinics providing healthcare services to those in need. While in these clinics, we will be performing physical and dental exams, along with other basic health screenings. In addition, we are putting an effort towards educating children on the importance of dental hygine and selfcare and how to properly go about maintaining good oral health, along with providing them with the tools to do so.
