Early Thursday morning on March 28th, our sister Denise and her family experienced something we never think would happen to us. After she heard a bang and then her bedroom lit up like a bright light was on, she seen the fire. Acting fast, she got her kids out the back door with the help of friends, then ran to her neighbors and woke them. 

Its not about the things like clothing. Or food. Or a tv. Their family pets are gone. Papa’s ashes and sentimental things that they will never have again. A favourite stuffy when one of the kids got when they were a baby. The pictures on the walls that made the house a home. The cross stitches that Denise made. Even that favourite soft blanket that you can’t sleep without. Gone forever. 

We we are so incredibly thankful they are all ok and we aren’t planning something a lot worse. 

We want to thank the firefighters, first responders, paramedics, neighbors. Everyone who helped and who saved the homes beside this one. You are all incredible. 

Also, thank you to the amazing support we have received this far. Even complete strangers. It is truly amazing how a small town comes together at a time like this.
