Clyde’s Road to Recovery

Hi! My name is Clyde (or at least that's what they call me now) and I need help. No one knows my exact story and I'm honestly trying to forget it myself, but let's just say it's been ruff.

A few days ago someone found my hiding spot, under a tree by the side of a busy road. They sent some officers to catch me, but I haven't had the best luck trusting people, so I ran and barked until they left me alone. Later that day, some nice people came out and spent hours sitting around my tree and gave me so many delicious treats but I was still mortified. They put a "leash" on me and took me straight to Savanna Animal Hospital.

I'm still scared.

They gave me a "bed" and "blankets", but I haven't seen anything like them before, so I choose to sleep on the floor. All of the people that I've met here have been so "patient" and "kind" (Those words weren't used much in my past life...) and I am starting to trust again with some help from my new friends! Several people said that they can see the hope in my eyes and have no doubt that I will be an amazing addition to someone's home after the doctor fixes me up.

I don't have a family to pay for my bills. My caretaker told me that the community has been offering to help us AGAIN! She also said that we have to go through some scary surgeries and exams and that I have to continue taking the medicines I've already been put on... It sounds like a lot, even to me.

If your family has the space to open your hearts up to help me heal from my horrendous past, we will appreciate every cent. I'm so excited to see how many families will allow me to be an extended part of theirs and help me in ways that people have failed me in the past.
