Cynthia Brannon Recovery Fund
Spende geschützt
Our journey began 5 years ago when Cynthia was diagnosed with a meningioma (benign) brain tumor. My sister was having problems with her eyesight and this is when the brain tumor was discovered. She had surgery January 2012. They were able to remove all of the tumor and she had a full recovery. She noticed that she had issues with her memory after the surgery and her doctor advised her to refrain from driving indefinitely. She was unable to return to work due to transportation and the fact that she had short term memory loss. In 2014, she began to have issues with walking and maintaining her balance and through that discovered the tumor had returned and was much larger than the first time. She had brain surgery for the second time, but the surgeon was unable to remove all of the tumor. 30% remained because of location and if removed could cause death. She received 30 rounds of radiation with the hopes of shrinking the remaining 30%. With the help of God and the support of her family she recovered and has been able to function independently at home, but unable to seek employment due to her disabilities. During this time, many medical bills have accumulated and has left her in a financial bind.
In December 2016, Cynthia suffered a massive stroke with paralysis on her right and has lost her ability to speak. She has been unresponsive due to the effects of her stroke and her physicians have advised that she can recover, but may need care for the rest of her life. Because of the limitations of her insurance coverage, there are costs that are needing to be covered in order for her to receive the level of care that she needs. Please join us in our campaign to assist in the care and recovery of my beloved sister, Cynthia Brannon.
