Nomad Cycling Collective (NCC) is a group dedicated to cycling in Merseyside and around the country. We work, play and live in the saddle and are committed to the growth of cycling within our community. I believe it is the group's obligation to enhance the conditions for cyclists everywhere. This means fighting for better infrastructure and safety on the roads as well as focusing on our physical and mental states.

Studies have shown that over 75% of people see dramatic changes to their mental health after cycling. Chapter 3, of ‘CIty Cycling’ by John Pucher and Ralph Buehler, details the broad spectrum of benefits there are from cycling, with the definition of health incorporating ‘physical, mental and social well-being,’ (World Health Organisation). Therefore, Nomad CC aims to make bike riding more accessible and enjoyable, to encourage more people to get out there. Not only will we improve the world around us but also work for the betterment of each other.

With this passion, we at Nomad CC, have found an opportunity to give back to our community. Myself, with one other member, will attempt to ride John O'Groats to Lands End in order to raise money for charities across Liverpool and Merseyside. That's the whole Island End to End. We have made the ride a little bit more difficult by starting mid October and aim to do it within 12 days. The charities we choose are pillars in Liverpool, helping to support a number of vital causes. With your help and donations not only will you be urging the Nomad Boys forward, you will be supporting the wonderful people and charities that do so much for those who need it most.
