Cycle in memory of Rescue 116
Donation protected
On 14th March 2017 Dublin based Irish Coastguard Helicopter Rescue 116 crashed off the County Mayo coast Ireland resulting in the loss of hero crew Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, Captain Mark Duffy, Winchman Ciaran Smith and winch operator Paul Ormsby.
Along with many others we were devastated by this tragic incident and wanted to do something to honour the memory of the crew of Rescue 116.
On 20th June 2018 South Western Ambulance Service Paramedic's Naomi Miller and Alan Whitehead will be cycling 550 miles around Ireland. We will be starting in Sligo and finishing in Dublin on 2nd July and plan to visit the four Irish Coastguard Helicopter bases in Sligo, Shannon, Waterford and Dublin along the way.
All money raised will go to Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue team and the RNLI who are voluntary rescue services who rely on public donations for vital equipment and to carry out their life saving operations.
Please support us and spread the word.
